Why? You ask ... because I can.Well the banner above came about as a practice run for scolling banners. And if you were asking about "why" lutherans.co.za, then because there was nothing out there in South African space to help Lutherans, that is confessional Lutherans, be Lutheran.
In many ways the "scrolling banner" above describes us quite well, few, tight knit, and out there.

1. FELSiSA ELDERS WORKSHOP HELD IN PRETORIAThis workshop started on Friday night with a presentation by Pastor Straeuli on the Smalcald Articles.
The reports from the pastor's for Saturday returned positive comments, and a well attended function.
2. ENGLISH/AFRIKAANS DISTRICT YOUTH CAMP HELD IN SCHEERPOORT.
The youth met from the 7-9 December in Scheerpoort for at time together, Growing Closer to Christ.

The themes of LEARN, PRAY, WORK and WORSHIP were introduced as areas to develop in our constant desire to grow closer to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
On Saturday morning, at 05h30, the youth was taken for a hike to the top of the Magalies mountains from where they were able to see Pretoria, and also marvelled at the size and beauty of God's creation.
He is great and we are small, yet each and everyone of us is important to Him. HOw great is our God!
