1. Open Office

Open Office is an Open Source, Muli-Language Word Proccessor. This means that it looks and works similar to WordPerfect and Word, but it's free. It also includes add-ons to do Presentations, Draw(Vector Drawing Tool), Spread Sheets, Data Bases and others...

This means that you can work in your own language, and still afford it.

2. GIMP

Gimp is an Open Source Graphic editor that can do just about everything that Photoshop can.

3. Paint.NET

Paint.NET is an Open Source Graphic editor alternative to GIMP and also similar to Photoshop.

4. Smooth Gallery

Probably the best and most easily modified Open Source Javascript gallery out there.

5. KirchenJahr

A small program in German that allows you to see what the Sunday is and what the relevant texts are.
